This week we had a wonderful treat... SNOW and lots of it! The bottle tree looked really pretty covered in snow.The "wine is chilling" has taken on an entirely different meaning! This was a fun project and I smile every time I look out into our backyard. The post is cedar and is buried it several feet into the ground. We drilled holes into the post and inserted short lengths of pvc pipe that had been spray painted to blend in. Next, we started drinking wine! When our friends learned of our project, we'd find empty bottles on our porch. We'd scrub the labels off and pick just the right spot for each bottle.
Thank goodness for thirsty friends!
